FOUR COLORS RED #1: MEGACITY THE THATCHER YEARS
A downloadable zine
ISSUE #1: MEGACITY THE THATCHER YEARS
In 1977, John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra and Pat Mills created Judge Dredd for 2000ad - their latest secret weapon in a frantic, audience chasing series of gimmick comics. Expected to be wrapped up well before the turn of the new millenium, 2000ad and Dredd are still going today. A satirical and ultraviolent cop designed to appeal to children could have been a footnote in comic book history, but Dredd endured and survives to this day. In our debut issue, Four Colors Red takes a deep and extended look at Dredd during the era of Thatcherism - tackling fascism, theocracy, hereditary supercops and horseshoe theory. Not to be missed! Featuring K. Thor Jensen, marketofthesenses, Josie Sparrow, and Dr Trevor Strunk.
